Turmeric Spiced Cauliflower

Cauliflower is my favorite sleeper vegetable. It comes off so humble, but when browned, the vegetable transforms into flavor magic. This version is spiced and baked. It is hearty and a great compliment to your next dinner. I recommend it with some pan fried chicken thighs or pork chops.

Turmeric Spiced Cauliflower

Ingredients
  

  • 2 heads Cauliflower
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Sumac (optional)
  • 1/4 c Avocado Oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375˚F
  • Wash and dry heads of cauliflower and cut the florets from the head. Cut large pieces in half.
  • Combine all spices into a large bowl and stir them together so they are will blended. Add oil to the bowl and stir spices and oil together.
  • Place cauliflower florets into the large bowl with the oil and spice mixture and  toss or stir until all the florets are coated with oil and spice.
  • Put coated cauliflower onto a baking sheet and spread it out. Put into the oven and bake for 40-45mins, stirring and turning cauliflower once or twice during baking time to get browning on all sides.
  • Remove from oven, allow to cool briefly and serve.
